I'm excited to share with you about something totally new and different that I have been blessed enough to review. This Etsy shop incorporates several of the things I love...clothes, recyclying/repurposing, uniqueness/originality and best of all, that all of it is done in the name of Jesus. This great Etsy shop is called
Wear Love Now and got its name from the verse "...regardless of what else you put on, wear love." Colossians 3:14 (I love that!). You can find out all about Becca and how her shop came to be at her website
www.wearlovenow.com While you're there, you will also learn that 10% of all sales from her shop go to Samaritan's Purse. That has a special place in my heart because we have enjoyed for the past several years, filling shoeboxes with gifts at our church that are sent out for Operation Christmas Child through Samaritan's Purse. The organization does so much for the "least of these" and I am so happy to see that Becca gives to such a great organization with what she is blessed with. She truly embraces what Jesus is all about...sharing love with others. So, you may have figured out by the name of her shop that she creates something that is worn...well now I'll tell you more about that! Becca takes clothing and upcycles it into something new, unique and fun! I seriously got so excited when I saw her fun clothes creations. Then, when she told me I could choose a piece to review and keep, I had such a hard time choosing!!! There were so many pieces I would love to add to my wardrobe. She so generously sent me two pieces of my choosing to check out and then told me I could keep the one I liked best and just send back the other. How cool is that?! I was so surprised when the clothing arrived in this recycled bed linen bag. How cute is this? Becca told me that she sends all of her orders out in a cute bag like this. What a fun and unexpected extra that made me smile!
As far as the clothes go, I chose this really cute sweatshirt material jacket with hand-painted buttons and a flower embellishment.
The other piece I chose was this adorable dress made from a skirt and tank top.
I tried the jacket on first and loved it. It fit so well and I could easily picture it with a plain tee and pair of jeans. I figured it would most likely be the one I would choose to keep...and then I tried on the dress. Oh, the cuteness! It made me feel cute and pretty. I love the colors and they look really good with a summer tan. It was just nothing like anything else I have. It is the perfect length and I fell in love with it. So, that is the piece I chose to keep!
As I said before though, it was very hard to choose from all of the really cute clothes she has in her shop. Here are a few of my other favorites...
Aren't they great?! I just love what she does and what she stands for. I am thrilled to be the lucky owner of a unique piece of her upcycled clothing and even more thrilled to have the opportunity to share about her and her shop with you. I really hope you will check out her website and Etsy shop and that you will be as drawn to her pieces as I was. How cool that you can get a great piece of clothing and help out an awesome organization like Samaritan's Purse at the same time! Look at her sweet kids, who are clearly being taught about what is most important and that just warms my heart. Just another reason to love Becca and what she is doing with her shop!
Becca is so sweet that she would like to offer one of my readers a $25 gift certificate to her shop! Be sure to get your entries in below and I really hope that you will heart her Etsy shop and like her facebook page too! By sharing about her shop and what she does, we can help share her beautiful clothing and help out Samaritan's Purse at the same time!
