Yellow Door by Brooke Review & Giveaway

Yellow has been my color of choice lately. So bright and cheerful. It's honestly kind of hard to look at something bright and yellow and not feel happy. When I saw the yellow stained glass earrings at Yellow Door by Brooke, you know I loved them! Well, guess what? Brooke was so sweet that she sent these cheery little yellow stained glass earrings to me to review! She is all about taking materials and recycling them and repurposing them into something new and fun. That's why she likes to get leftover stained glass and make it into great pieces like these... (sorry, the picture was taken with my phone and isn't the best, but you get the idea)
They look so pretty when the light shines through them. I adore them! Brooke makes so many cool things out of recycled items, like... These cool earrings made out of vinyl records
I love these hair sticks made out of recycled skateboards.
These earrings are made out of magazine and I think they look like wood!
I definitely have respect for someone who takes things that would otherwise be discarded and sees the potential for a second, cool use for them. That takes a special kind of vision that I admire.
Not only is she creative, but she is generous too and is offering one of my readers a really cool recycled skateboard pendant necklace! I love the colors and think this makes the perfect, fun, unique summer necklace. It just looks beachy to me!
Get your entries in below to win this cool necklace and please be sure to like Brooke's facebook page and Etsy shop! a Rafflecopter giveaway Disclosure: I was given the mentioned item for review purposes and was not compensated in any other way. Tsetsi La Mode Review & Giveaway

Purses, bags...this girl loves 'em! I have especially taken a liking lately to crossbody bags, so when I saw the awesome bags at Tsetsi La Mode, I couldn't help but get excited! The unique style, the great color combinations...what's not to love? Tsvetelina gave me the pure joy of choosing my favorite of her crossbody bags to review and I just had to choose this funky peacock print one!
It's so funky and cute. Exactly the type of thing I love! It's also got great functionality with these great features: * Cotton and cotton blends inside and out. * Zipper closure * 2 open outside pockets and 1 inside. * Adjustable cross body strap 52 inches long * Silvertone hardware~ Dimensions: 10" wide 12" tall 11.5" deep...In other words, the bag is nice and roomy with plenty of room for my Kindle, two wallets and all the other stuff I carry. The inside pocket is perfect to throw my phone in and not have to dig for it. It's the perfect size bag to carry everything I need (and the several things I carry that I probably don't need too). Here are a few more of my favorite prints that she makes the crossbody bag in. Trust me there's waaaayyyy more than this...
She also makes these adorable shoulder bags...
These great ereader sleeves too!
Isn't her stuff great?! I'm sure you'd love to know about the great bag she is so generously giving to one of my readers, wouldn't you? Well, here it is! Tsvetelina is giving one lucky reader a crossbody bag of their own in the gorgeous green fabric below!
You know you want it, so get your entries in and show her some love on facebook and her Etsy shop too, please! a Rafflecopter giveaway Disclosure: I was given the mentioned item for review purposes and was not compensated in any other way. BglorifiedBoutique Review & Giveaway

You all should know by now that my first love is Jesus, so the name of this shop (BglorifiedBoutique) is what instantly caught my eye, but it didn't take long before the super cute headbands, scarves, Heart Cut Out shirts and more had me captured too. I love all things cute and they certainly have that. Let me share with you a little about the lovely shop owners... Cindy and her daughter, Dana are the creative lovlies behind this shop. Cindy shared these things with me... We use a portion of our profit to go on Mission Trips. Since we opened our Etsy shop, we have gone on a construction trip to the Philippines and another to Copenhagen, Denmark. Next month we will do a construction trip to help a church in the U.S. We want to glorify God in the things we do which led to our shop name becoming BglorifiedBoutique My daughter(who is the designer of most of our products) is the photographer for our shop. Her work can be seen here: www.DanaAnnPhotography.com As you can see, they love the Lord and use the blessings He gives to them through their shop to bless others. That makes my heart smile. Not only are they generous to organizations and ministries, but they were so kind as to allow me to review their Brown Stretch Lace Headband. I love it! Not only do I love my new lace headband, but there are so many other things to love at their shop. I had to limit myself as to what I posted here before I shared pictures of every single thing in their shop, so here's a sampling of goodies... Extreme cuteness right there! I know you have to love their pieces too and how could you not love them?! So, the good news is that they have offered one of my readers a Brown Stretch Lace Headband just like the one I recieved! Please be sure to heart their shop and like their facebook page. They will thank you and so will I! a Rafflecopter giveaway Disclosure: I was given the mentioned item for review purposes and was not compensated in any other way. Art by Amy Nelson Review & Giveaway

Looking for some cool artwork for your walls? You are going to love Art by Amy Nelson! When I saw her City & State Wall Art I got so excited. My husband surprised me with a trip to a bed and breakfast in Maine a few years ago and it continues to be my favorite place I've ever been. We had such a wonderful time there and I can't wait to visit there again sometime. So, when I saw the City & State Wall Art, I knew it was something I wanted to hang on my bedroom wall as a fun reminder of our great trip. We stayed in a bed and breakfast on Georgetown Island, but along with traveling along the coast, we spent the majority of our time in the little town of Bath. It was so nice there and the people were so friendly and welcoming. So, when Amy told me that I could review one of her City & State prints, I knew I had to get one of Bath, ME. I have to admit, it does make me think of "bathe me" when I see it, but that just makes me laugh and makes it that much more fun. She does the print in such a cool way! It looks as though it's on distressed paper, which just adds to its charm. It also is an 11X14, so it is nice and big. I absolutely love it! I haven't quite found the frame I want for it yet, so I'm thinking of painting and distressing a frame of my own in white. I think it will be perfect. Then, I'm going to surprise my husband and hang it up in our room. I haven't told him about it and I know he's going to love it, seeing as it is his favorite trip we have taken together as well. Look at how cool it is! I seriously am so excited about it! She has so many really cool prints other than the City & State ones though. Here are a couple that I find particularly cool... Look at these adorable ones for baby!!! Her art comes in a variety of sizes too, so there's a size for whatever space you're looking to fill. They would make such great gifts too! Think of the Home one as a housewarming gift or one of the City & State prints as a wedding gift. Oh, or one of the newborn typography prints as a gift for a new baby! There are so many gift options as well as options to decorate your own home! Amy would like to help one of my readers start adding some awesome style to their own home by offering one of her 11"X14" Navy Deer Prints. It looks like it's actually on some sort of canvas with the way the print has been done. I love the color too. I can totally picture this up over a fireplace. So cool. Hurry up and get your entries in below and be sure to heart her shop and like her facebook page for extra entries! a Rafflecopter giveaway Disclosure: I was given the mentioned product for review purposes and was not compensated in any other way. Seven White Rabbits Review & Giveaway

Two of my favorite accessories are scarves and headbands and I adore the ones from Seven White Rabbits. They have such a cool, bohemian look and the mixtures of different textiles in their braided headbands is something I find especially cool. The braided material is sewn to the perfect length of elastic to make the headband stay in place without being too tight or too loose. This keeps it from sliding off of your head like elastic headbands sometimes do. That's why I was so excited to review their braided headband in coral and yellow. Not only are the colors a great combination, but the fabrics look really cool together. See for yourself... How pretty does that make a pulled back summer hairstyle look?! I love it! As if the braided headbands weren't cool enough, they also have very cool infinity scarves, glasses cases, etc. like the ones below. I especially love this particular print of infinity scarf. What a cute way to keep your sunglasses from getting all scratched up! Besides the pieces I've shown you, there are also other great headband styles, cowl scarves and other cool pieces available in their shop that you're sure to love. I'm happy to tell you that Seven White Rabbits would like to offer one of my readers a braided headband of your choice! Here are a few of the awesome options! What are you waiting for?! Hurry and get your entries in below! You'll definitely want to show the love and like the Seven White Rabbits facebook page as well as their Etsy page! Can't wait to see if you win or just want to go ahead and get some goodies before the end of the giveaway? You'll be happy to know that you can get 15% off of anything in the shop by using coupon code Summer15 at checkout! How cool is that?! a Rafflecopter giveaway Disclosure: I was given the mentioned piece for review purposes and was not compensated in any other way. Sentimetal Designs Review & Giveaway

I could not be more pleased and excited to share about Sentimetal Designs Etsy shop and it's beautiful owner, Tricia, with you. I have been truly blessed by her and her lovely pieces. Tricia has a wonderful talent when it comes to creating jewelry pieces that not only catch the eye, but capture the heart. If you read my previous post and/or have read One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp, you will know why this necklace made my soul smile when I saw it. Tricia was so wonderful to allow me the pleasure of receiving this beautiful necklace from her to review. I can't even describe to you just what I felt when I opened up the lovely tin containing this amazing necklace. I literally got chills. Who knew a piece of jewelry could produce such feelings? The design is so delicate, so rustic, so unique...so beautiful. It's not just the necklace though, it's Tricia herself who exudes such a love and passion for Jesus. Her pieces are that much more special because you know that her heart goes into each of them and that her heart is focused in the right place. It has truly been a blessing to me to have crossed paths with her. I'm very thankful. She has so many lovely pieces that she has created and she does custom pieces as well, to make them extra personal for you. Here is just a sampling of her talents... It makes my heart smile to remember that the Lord sings over us. A sweet necklace to personalize with names and birthstones of children or grandchildren What a beautiful reminder that we are treasured by the King. A cool way for guys to wear the names of their children or a special message. The pretty little tin that her jewelry is packaged in, making it an even more lovely gift to send to someone special to you. After looking at all of her creative loveliness and receiving the eucharisteo necklace, all I could think of was how blessed I would be to receive one of these pieces as a gift. I kept thinking of how great the Sing Over Me or Treasured necklace would be for young girls and the special women in our lives (sisters, mothers, grandmothers, nieces, daughters)to remind them of just how special they are not only to us, but to the One who created them with such love. These would also make a lovely gift for those young girls going off to college in the fall. Now that I've shown you her lovely creations, I would like to share a little more about Tricia with you. I truly just find her too lovely for words. Here are a few things she would like for you to know about herself. My name is Tricia and I'm a wife, mother and friend. I've always enjoyed being crafty - whether it's decorating our 100 year old farmhouse, or making sock puppets - but since my introduction to metal stamping, I've discovered a new desire for authentic gift-giving. I enjoy that not only can I create a gift to make my loved ones feel truly "known," but I have the opportunity to provide that for anyone, worldwide. I just love that. I live in rural South Dakota and when I'm not busy expanding my skill set and delving deeper into artisan designing, I love to read a good book, snuggle with my babies, bake some kind of warm, gooey treat, or (lastly) catch up on some laundry. You can expect to be treated with the well reputed "Midwestern" hospitality because I appreciate, and remember, the fact (and blessing) that I am able to create these pieces because of you and for you. Thank you! "I thank my God for all the memories I have of you." - Philippians 1:3 _______________________________________________________________________ Is she not just completely adorable?! She is also working on a new design and website that she is hoping to have up and running it a month or so. It will be www.sentimetaldesigns.com and I'd like to share it here with you now, so you can keep an eye out for it. Look at the great logo and design she's been working on! Anyway, as I said before, I feel blessed to have crossed paths with her and I am thankful for the love and care she puts into what she creates. I really hope that if you are looking for a uniquely beautiful gift, you will consider her. I know you can't possibly not be excited about her work and so I'm so excited to share with you that Tricia has very generously offered one of my readers the choice of any one item from her shop! I'm excited for you! Hurry and get your entries in below and please like her facebook page as well as her Etsy shop. a Rafflecopter giveaway Disclosure: I was given a piece of jewelry from the shop owner for review purposes and was not compensated in any other way for this review. All opinions and views expressed in this review are mine alone and were in no way influenced by any other party.

Thankful Sunday

I try to live my life with a constant attitude of thankfulness. Of course, I don't always do such a good job, but I strive to be thankful every day, in every circumstance. Something that helped me to be even more aware of having a thankful heart is the book One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp. If you haven't read it, you really should. I promise it will change you for the better. If you have read it, you know exactly what I'm talking about. Ann also has a blog that feeds my soul. Be sure to check it out because I'm sure it will be a blessing to you also. It's called A Holy Experience and it truly is just that. From her book, I was introduced to the word "Eucharisteo". Eucharisteo means to give thanks, gratitude. I want to live eucharisteo. To have the first thing I do when I wake up and the last thing I do before I fall asleep, be to give thanks to Jesus for all of my many blessings. In every situation, even the hard ones, to give thanks before anything else. To never ask for without first thanking for. To fully live in thankfulness and therefore to know full joy. I have taken her joy dare and have been recording "gifts" daily. Today, I would like to share some of the things I've been thankful for this week... I'm thankful for my 3 boys who I am blessed to have in my care. They finished 1st, 4th and 7th grade this year on Monday. I am so proud of the smart, wonderful boys they are...and we found out on Thursday that Gavin has been accepted into the National Junior Honor Society! I'm thankful for my husband who I have been blessed to have been married to for the past 13 years and have been best friends with since I was 6 years old. We celebrated our anniversary on June 12th and we had a great day together, being goofballs and having fun. I'm so happy to be married to someone who makes me laugh every single day. He's amazing! I'm thankful for our new home that we moved into a year ago and for all of the beautiful flowers around it that make it look cheerful and homey. God's creations are just incredible. My next post will be for a review and giveaway that go along with this theme, be sure check it out. It's a beautiful Etsy shop that you will want to know about for sure.
