So, as promised, I'm going to share the teacher gifts I made with you. Now that the boys have finished their last day and have already given their teachers their gifts, it's safe to post the pictures. ;-) First, here are pictures of the boys from the first day of school this year and today (the last day of school this year). I can't believe how much they've changed!

Man, I love these kids.
Now, onto the teacher gifts. I decided to make some personalized clipboards and clothespin magnets to match. I had so much fun picking out the scrapbook paper and other little things to decorate them with, like ribbon and stickers. The only thing I was a little disappointed in was how small the letters actually were once I peeled them off of the sticker paper. Unfortunately, they didn't show up as well as I thought they would when I thought they were larger. Oh well, once they were on there and the store I would need to go to was 30 minutes away, I decided they would have to do. I used decoupage to attach the scrapbook paper to the clipboards and the clothespins. I also used it to attach the ribbon. I then added a couple more layers of decoupage and finished it off with a good coating of clear acrylic spray. The back is even covered in scrapbook paper so that it looks cute from both sides! The longest part of the project was waiting for the decoupage to dry before I could start the next round. Otherwise, it didn't take long and didn't cost much at all. Overall, I'm really happy with how they turned out and from the sound of what the kids told me, both of their teachers loved them. So, I'd say it was a winner project! What do you think?

Danielle...they look great! What a great/different idea. I am not a scrapbooker, so my question is...the embellishments at the corners, are they just stickers or did you fancy them up with the glitter? Thanks and have a great summer.
Regina, they are just stickers! I'm actually not a scrapbooker either, but I buy scrapbooking stuff to make homemade cards. This really was an easy and inexpensive project that made a nice personalized gift!
Those are so great! What a sweet gift.... and super crafty looking.
