JuJu & Jules ~ Review & Giveaway

I am all about the unique and funky and the jewelry made by Julie at JuJu & Jules is most definitely unique and funky. She mixes metals like sterling silver, copper and brass to create pieces of jewelry that demand attention. Take this awesome ring for instance. It's the kick-butt piece that I was lucky enough to review. It's her Mixed Metal Two Toned Sterling Silver Copper Wide Band Basket Weave Ring. If you think it looks cool in the picture (which how could you not?) then you should see it in person. Put it this way, even my 13 year old son who I can hardly get to admit that anything I own is even decent said this ring was "sweet" with great enthusiasm when he saw it. I wore it on my anniversary and several friends of mine that I saw commented on it and thought it was cool. The design and metals used just draw attention. She also got the fit exactly right by suggesting that I go and have my finger sized to be sure to get a good fit. Since the style is a wide band, the jeweler measured my finger with a wide band sizer. I joked when I recieved it that it was like it was made just for me (since it was, in case you missed that). Ha! Seriously, perfect fit and perfect style. So many of her designs are a simple, sleek look, but there's just something about the way they are done that makes them interesting. Here are a few of my favorites of her other pieces. I think what I like about most of her pieces is that even though I'm pretty girly most of the time, sometimes I just really like something that's more raw and edgy and her pieces tend to be just that. I have a couple friends who are not really girly girls and I think they would totally love her jewelry. It's just got that cool factor. In keeping with the cool factor, Julie is offering one of my readers her Mini Initial Necklace! What a perfect, delicate summer necklace! I'm jealous! You know you want to win this, so what are you waiting for?
