ABOUT THE AUTHORS:
Stan and Jan Berenstain introduced the first Berenstain Bear books in 1962. Mike Berenstain grew up watching his parents work together to write about and draw these lovable bears. Eventually he started drawing and writing about them too. Mike is married to Andrea, and they have three children. They live in Pennsylvania, in an area that looks a lot like Bear Country.

AND NOW...THE FIRST CHAPTER:
My personal thoughts on this book: I loved the Berenstain Bears growing up and have some of the books I had when I was little, that I have read to my kids. I was excited to see this book and even more excited that Asher loved it so much when I read it to him. The funniest part is how the bear "kids" are supposed to be doing a job and they get distracted and start playing baseball instead. I think he saw the humor in that because he knows how him and his brothers tend to get off track when they're supposed to be cleaning or doing a job too. In true Berenstain Bears fashion, a great lesson is learned and all is well in the end. Even after all these years, I still love the Berenstain Bears.
