Valentine's Review/Giveaway # 5 ~ Cowgirl Chocolates

Chocolate...is there a more popular treat for Valentine's Day? I think not. Do you ever get tired of getting the same chocolate samplers with all the predictable filling and flavors? Well, I've got a cure for your boring predictable chocolate that can be found at Cowgirl Chocolates!

These ladies don't mess around, let me tell ya. You can tell they're a spunky crew and I can only imagine how much fun they have coming up with new and interesting ideas. In fact, I had fun just checking out all of their stuff on their website!

So, ya wanna know what's so different and exciting about their chocolate and candy as opposed to the stuff you're used to? Well, let me tell you. As their website will tell you "Cowgirl Chocolates are sweet and spicy gourmet chocolates for adventurous chocolate lovers and packaged as unique beautiful gifts for any and all occasions." Yup, you read that right...sweet and SPICY!

I was sent a 1/3 pound sampler to get a taste (there I go being corny again) of what they have to offer. Included were Spicy Truffles in the flavors - Raspberry Dark Chocolate, Double Dark Chocolate, Hazelnut Milk Chocolate and Cappuccino. There were also Mild Truffles in the flavors - Double Dark Chocolate, Milk Chocolate, Ivory Orange and Raspberry Lemon. They also sent one of their Habanero Caramels.

Let me break it down for ya. Yum, yum and more yum. I am not a girl who is big on spicy things, but the Spicy Truffles had just enough kick to make them interesting and not so much that I couldn't tolerate to eat them. The Mild Truffles were right up my ally and the Ivory Orange and Raspberry Lemon ones were out of this world! Now, let me tell ya about the Habanero Caramel. I let Brian take a bite of it and he took about half and then I took a little bite off of the remaining half. All of a sudden we were both like "Whoa!". Let me tell ya, that little puppy was hot! Tasted just like a delicious caramel, but with a kick you would not believe. Definitely not my speed, but Brian thought it was great and immediately decided that we need to get some for my Dad because he loves spicy stuff (and candy). I agree too that my Dad would think they were awesome, so we will definitely be getting him some (only we're not going to tell him they're spicy, we're just going to give him one first and see how he reacts). If you knew the kinds of pranks he likes to pull, you would have no problem with that. LOL

In keeping with the theme that my husband liked these and I know my Dad would, I think these would make an awesome Valentine's Day gift for the guy in your life. I think guys tend to be hard to buy for, so this would be something cool and different that I'm sure they would appreciate. In the same token, any lady who likes things spicy would appreciate them too. Don't forget that they have the Mild Truffles as well and anyone would love those.

But wait! That's not all! (Don't I sound like an infomercial?) Cowgirl Chocolates also offers Truffle Bars (I've got my eye on the Lemonade White Chocolate Bar), different flavored Barks, different flavored Caramels, different flavored Brittles, Dessert Sauces (even spicy ones), Spicy Old Fashioned Hot Chocolate, Regular Old Fashioned Hot Chocolate, different flavored Chocolate Bars, etc. You seriously need to check out their website to see all the awesome stuff and interesting flavors they have. I've never seen anything like it.
